I am an IoT enthusiast and these days I am looking into buying a smart hub, but to be honest there are so many options to choose from.
There is one smart hub though that drew my attention and its name is nCube. It’s not made by a big company but it definitely looks promising for a number of reasons.
First of all, if you use an nCube then you get to have your privacy. And what do I mean by that? Well, nCube does not use the cloud to let you control your smart devices. All the information needed to control your devices is stored directly on the smart hub and not on servers somewhere around the cloud.
This also means that you get to work with your devices even when your internet connection is down. Your nCube app will talk directly to the hub in your house and give you access to your smart devices.
Essentially everything is running on the nCube, which also means that everything is faster since you are saving yourself the round-trip to a cloud server and back.
nCube works with some of the most well-know brands of smart connected devices such as Sonos, Philips Hue, LIFX, Nest and Belkin. You don’t have to worry that you will be left out on smart device choices.
The smart hub supports an array of devices that can be Wifi & LAN based, as well as devices that communicate based on the Z-Wave protocol. This definitely makes the hub an attractive option, ensuring you will be able to use pretty much every sort of smart device you might ever need.
For sure nCube is something I am considering seriously and looks like a very good option to start setting up a smart home. (By the way, it even looks very stylish and compact).
