It’s been long since I have started looking for a fast (I mean really fast) media center box, that will not get stuck indefinitely when I encounter a bad link and I have finally found that in Vero 4K.
This is an OSMC box running on a quad-core 1.6 Ghz 64-bit processor and comes with 2 GB DDR3 RAM.
The big thing about this box is that it comes loaded with OSMC, which is a Linux-based Kodi-only OS. This means that the box boots directly into Kodi, avoiding having any other additional processes that might slow down your box from what it should actually do.
The fact that OSMC is Linux-based makes all the difference in the world. Everything is so much faster and responsive than let’s say Android-based boxes. Even if you are using the PVR module in Kodi, which might run heavy on other boxes, Vero 4K behaves nicely without any lag.
The box itself is tiny so it will not take a lot of space on your TV furniture. Even better, it comes with an accessory holder that you can attach behind your TV to hold your box hidden.
One other feature of the Vero 4k, which is of course 4K ready as its name suggests, is that it comes with 5 years of updates. The company behind the Vero 4K guarantee that you will receive updates for your box in the next five years, which is not bad compared to other TV boxes.
All-in-all this is a great media center box and something which I would safely recommend to anyone that wants puts speed over everything else in a Kodi-only box.
