A few months back I registered for the new smart phone game by Nintendo, called Super Mario Run. The game is finally here and is pretty exciting.
When you first open the game and go through the instructions you will think that the game will be boring to play, since the only thing you can do with Mario is to jump and control how high you can jump.
Mario is by default running in the game so you don’t have to worry about that. You need to worry about tapping the screen to make Super Mario jump.
The game is far from boring and a lot of fun to play with. For sure it will keep Super Mario fans busy for many hours.
You can download the game for free and you can try all three modes which are World Tour, Toad Rally and for Kingdom Builder.
In the World Tour mode there is a total of 24 courses across 6 worlds. To make them all available you need to make an in-app purchase of $9.99. This is only a single purchase, which will not be followed by any other subsequent purchases.
The game has so far fetched a revenue of $53 million to Nintendo. And this revenue has come only from the game being available on iOS devices. The release of the game on the Android platform will for sure raise the bar considering the massive market share the Android platform has.
Even a one-off in-app purchase seems to be enough to give some good dough to Nintendo. Even a one-off in-app purchase seems to be enough to give some good dough to Nintendo.
